The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) serve a collection of international objectives geared to achieving a sustainable and better future by the year 2030. The SDGs are a set of 17 goals consisting of 169 associated targets, underpinned by a pledge to “leave no one behind.” The nation of Japan has been actively taking on initiatives with respect to the SDGs, which serve as a universal call to action in that they enlist efforts of developing countries and advanced economies alike.

The HOUSEDO Group endorses such ideals and accordingly seeks to play its part by providing real estate services in a manner that helps achieve the SDGs.

In addition to helping employees balance work with their parental and caregiving obligations, we also provide pleasant workplace environments and adopt programs tailored to employees who play supporting roles in that regard.

Employment and support of people with disabilities

The HOUSEDO Group embraces the notion of employing and supporting people with disabilities from the training phase onward and furthermore maintains workplace environments that enable each and every employee to take on work in a manner specifically suited to the individual across a wide range of occupations, including those involving back-office affairs and administrative divisions. With the aim of promoting professional growth of our employees, we assign industrial counselors and corporate-based job coaches to the task of facilitating an understanding regarding the specifics of individuals’ disabilities, along with their individuality, experience and skills.

Accordingly, we are committed to supporting people with various disabilities in terms of helping them acclimate to their workplaces, develop new capabilities and build careers. As such, we will further persist in developing professional environments that enable employees with and without disabilities to work with peace of mind while continuing to engage in initiatives in that regard.

Women’s Empowerment

Having taken effect in April 2016, Japan’s “Act on Promotion of Women’s Participation and Advancement in the Workplace” encompasses a series of measures aiming to give rise to a society in which all women who aspire to play active roles in career settings are able to fully demonstrate their individuality and capabilities. The HOUSEDO Group aims to develop workplaces that empower each and every employee to play active roles, in alignment with their aptitudes, capabilities and growth.

Going forward, we will continue to develop workplace environments that make it possible for our female employees to demonstrate their individuality and capabilities in a manner that enables them to strike a balance between family life and their careers. Meanwhile, we will engage in efforts across the entire HOUSEDO Group to serve as a prosperous and vibrant company that values the determination of its female employees.
